The Novacare Complex will serve as the primary home of Eagles’ Training Camp 2013.

This morning on Philadelphia Eagles.com, the dates were announced for the Eagles’ first training camp of the Chip Kelly Era. The OTA period up to this point has been held under a microscope as people in Philadelphia are eager to figure out what the Eagles will look like under Kelly. Expect that to be turned up even more during training camp as many heated position battles, such as quarterback and defensive back, are decided.

Here are some of the highlights from this morning’s announcement.

The Eagles will no longer be heading up to Lehigh University for camp. Kelly will let his birds stay closer to the nest as the team will hold training camp at the Novacare Complex. The team will hold five practices at Lincoln Financial Field that will be free and open to the public. All other practices will take place at the Novacare Complex and will only be open to a limited number of season ticket holders.

Fans can begin reserving tickets on June 18 at 2pm through the team website or Ticketmaster.com. The limit is eight tickets per practice.

Fans will not have to travel to Lehigh University for this year's training camp.

For the first time in 17 years, fans will not be traveling to Lehigh University for training camp.

The Philadelphia Eagles have also announced that they will be holding joint practices with the New England Patriots from August 6-7 prior to their preseason match-up on August 9. This announcement is interesting as many people believe that Kelly will look to mold the Eagles offense into something like what is employed by Bill Belichick. These joint practices will be open to a random selection of season ticket holders.

Rookies will report to the Novacare Complex on July 22 and the full team reports on July 25. The first practice open to the public will be held at 12:30pm on July 28.
