NBA All Star Starters Revealed

The starters for next month’s NBA All Star game have been announced. The two squads will square off on February 20th in the Staples Center. Both teams boast stellar starting lineups and both lineups seem to accurately portray the best players in each conference.

The Western Conference teams is highlighted by the leading vote getter for either conference, Laker’s SG Kobe Bryant (13th appearance). Bryant will be joined in the back court by Hornet’s PG Chris Paul. The forwards for the West should make for a very exciting duo. Thunder’s F Kevin Durant will start alongside Nugget’s F Carmelo Anthony who came incredibly close to perhaps playing for the Eastern Conference had former Sixer’s GM and current Net’s GM Billy King been able to swing a deal. According to the fan vote, Rocket’s C Yao Ming will be starting in the All-Star game but clearly a replacement will have to be selected by David Stern.

The Eastern Conference will be led by the duo from South Beach. Heat F Lebron James and G Dwayne Wade will both being starting in this year’s game. Wade will be joined in the back court by Bull’s PG Derrick Rose who becomes the Bull’s first starter since Michael Jordan. James will be joined at the forward spot by Knick’s F Amar’e Stoudemire who narrowly beat out Kevin Garnett for a spot. Magic C Dwight Howard is also starting. The East leading Boston Celtics will not be represented in the starting lineup.
